Sidewalks in Chester

I can not believe people in Chester Borough are fighting the new addition of sidewalks to link the rest of Main street and route 24 to the the elementary school. Yes, I know some beautiful old trees will be cut down, but the public access, safety and re-planting of trees means the benefits far outweigh any negatives...lets be real here, everyone has their own agenda(so to speak), but I belive public safety and and access trump those intersts. I also think sidewalks need to be put in all down Fairmont from the Post office to the shopping Center
